Car
If you are traveling by car, head to the city of Trujillo, which is about 10 km away from Chan Chan. From Trujillo, take Av. América Sur and follow the signs to Huanchaco. Continue on Av. Huanchaco until you reach VWVG+Q5C in Huanchaco, where Chan Chan is located. There is usually no entrance fee for the site, but guided tours may incur additional costs, typically ranging from 30 to 50 soles.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a 'collectivo' (shared taxi) from Trujillo to Huanchaco. The collectivos leave from the main plaza in Trujillo, and the fare is approximately 5 soles. Upon reaching Huanchaco, ask the driver to drop you off near Chan Chan, or follow the signs towards VWVG+Q5C. The journey should take about 30 minutes. Once there, you can explore Chan Chan at your own pace or join a guided tour.
