If you have access to a car, you can drive from Iquitos to Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Start by heading southeast on Av. José Quiñones towards Av. 28 de Julio. Continue on Av. 28 de Julio and then take the road towards the town of Nauta. The journey is approximately 90 kilometers and will take around 2 hours. Once in Nauta, you can arrange for a boat to take you into the reserve. Be mindful of the road conditions and make sure to check your fuel before embarking.

To reach Pacaya Samiria National Reserve using public transportation, you can take a mototaxi or taxi to the Iquitos bus terminal. From there, board a bus heading to Nauta. The bus ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Nauta, you'll need to hire a boat to enter the reserve. Ensure you discuss the boat prices beforehand, as they can vary. Expect to pay around 150-200 soles for a private boat to take you into the park.
