Getting There

Car
If you are driving from the main entrance of Paracas National Reserve, take the main road (Route PE-1S) and head south towards Playa Yumaque. After approximately 6 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Keep to the left to stay on Trocha Carrozable. Follow this road for about 1.5 kilometers, and you will find the entrance to Playa Yumaque on your right. There is a small parking area available.

Public Transportation
From the town of Paracas, you can take a shared taxi (colectivo) towards Playa Yumaque. Colectivos leave from the main square and typically cost around 10-15 soles per person. Inform the driver of your destination. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you reach Playa Yumaque, the taxi will drop you off at the entrance.

Walking
If you are already within the Paracas National Reserve and prefer to walk, it’s a scenic but lengthy option. From the main visitor center, head south on the trail towards Playa Yumaque. The distance is around 5 kilometers, and it will take approximately 1 hour to walk. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as there are limited facilities along the way.
