Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start in the town of Ollantaytambo and head towards Chinchero. Take the road towards Urubamba and then follow the signs for Chinchero. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you reach Chinchero, park your car in a designated area near the town center. From there, follow the signs towards Catarata Poc Poc, which is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path can be uneven.

• Public Transportation (Minibus)

  To reach Catarata Poc Poc via public transportation, head to the main bus terminal in Ollantaytambo. Look for minibuses heading to Chinchero, which typically leave every 30 minutes. The fare is around 5 soles (approximately $1.50). The journey takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Chinchero, ask locals for directions to Catarata Poc Poc. It is a short walk uphill from the main square, roughly 15 minutes. Be cautious as the path may be steep.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from any location in Sacred Valley to Catarata Poc Poc. Negotiate the fare beforehand; it should range from 40 to 60 soles (about $10 to $15) depending on your starting point. The taxi can drop you off near the entrance to the walking path leading to the waterfall. From the drop-off point, it is a 15-minute walk uphill to reach the falls. Ensure you confirm the taxi driver's return time if you plan to stay at the waterfall for a while.
