If you are traveling by car, head towards the town of Urubamba. From Urubamba, take the road towards Huayllabamba. You can use Google Maps or any GPS navigation system to guide you. As you approach Huayllabamba, look for the signs indicating Sam's Zipline. The zipline is located along an unnamed road, and the exact coordinates are approximately -13.3641 latitude and -72.0681 longitude. There is usually parking available near the zipline entrance. Please note that if you are renting a car, ensure to have a valid driver's license and be prepared for winding mountain roads.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a colectivo (shared taxi) from Urubamba to Huayllabamba. Colectivos leave frequently from the main square in Urubamba, and the fare is usually around 5 PEN (Peruvian Soles). Inform the driver that you are going to Sam's Zipline, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. From there, you may need to walk for about 10-15 minutes along the unnamed road towards the zipline location. Alternatively, you can ask locals for directions if needed.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Urubamba directly to Sam's Zipline. This option is more expensive, with fares typically ranging from 30 to 50 PEN, depending on negotiation and the time of day. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting your journey. The taxi will drop you off at the entrance of the zipline, making it a convenient option if you have luggage or are traveling with a group.
