From Cusco, drive towards the town of Ollantaytambo. The road is well-marked and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Ollantaytambo, follow the signs to Aguas Calientes. This drive will take you along the spectacular Sacred Valley. Upon reaching Aguas Calientes, park your vehicle at one of the designated parking areas. It's important to note that parking can be limited, so arrive early if possible.

If you prefer to use public transport, take a bus from Cusco to Ollantaytambo. Buses leave frequently and the journey lasts about 1.5 hours. Once in Ollantaytambo, purchase a train ticket to Aguas Calientes, which is the closest station to Intipata. The train ride takes approximately 1.5 hours. After arriving at the Aguas Calientes train station, you can either walk or take a taxi to the base of the trail leading to Intipata.
