    If you are traveling by car, begin your journey in Huaraz, the nearest major city. Take the main road (PE-3N) south from Huaraz towards the town of Caraz. After approximately 45 minutes, turn onto the road leading to the Santa Cruz Trek trailhead. The last stretch is a gravel road that leads directly to the starting point of the trek. Make sure to have a map or GPS as the roads can be tricky. Parking is available at the trailhead.
