Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Sagada, head towards the Sagada Municipal Hall. Once there, look for the sign indicating the direction to the 'Banaue Rice Terraces.' Follow the road leading out of the town. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach the junction where the road splits. Take the left path leading towards Bangaan. Continue walking for about 3 kilometers. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and rice fields. When you reach a fork in the road, keep left, and you will see signs pointing to the Bangaan Ifugao Rice Terraces. Follow the path down to the terraces, which will be visible as you approach.

  • Hiking

    For a more adventurous route, start your hike from the Sagada Eco-Tourism Office. Take the trail that leads down to the rice terraces. This route is approximately 2.5 kilometers and takes about an hour to hike. The path can be steep and may require some climbing, so wear sturdy shoes. Along the trail, you can appreciate the lush vegetation and scenic views of the terraces. Follow the marked signs indicating the direction to Bangaan. Upon reaching the terraces, take your time to explore and enjoy the breathtaking landscape.

The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the rice terraces. Make sure to confirm your return ride with the driver before you disembark.
