From the center of Sagada, head towards the Sagada Municipal Hall and look for the sign indicating the path to Batad. Follow the main road until you reach the junction where you can see a sign pointing towards Batad. This is approximately a 15-minute walk. From the junction, you will take a dirt trail leading downhill. The trek is steep and may take about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the Batad Rice Terraces. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water for the hike.

If you prefer a less strenuous option, you can catch a tricycle from Sagada to Batad Junction. This ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Batad Junction, you will need to trek for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours downhill to reach the terraces. Make sure to agree on a fare with the driver before starting your journey. You can ask the tricycle driver to wait for you or arrange a pick-up time for your return.
