Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Gdańsk Main Train Station (Dworzec Główny), exit the station and head towards the large roundabout (Rondo) in front of you. Cross the road towards the Neptun Fountain, which is a well-known landmark. From the fountain, turn left onto Długi Targ street, which leads you straight into the heart of the Old Town. Continue along Długi Targ until you reach the Golden Gate (Złota Brama) on your right. Pass through the Golden Gate and continue on Długa street (Long Street) until you reach the Green Gate. The Old City Hall is located a short walk further down on your left at Ratusz Staromiejski, 33/35.

  • Public Transport

    If you are near the Gdańsk Shipyard area, you can take tram line 3 or 8 from the nearest tram stop (Stocznia Gdańska). Ride the tram for about 5 stops and get off at the stop called 'Targ Rybny'. From there, walk straight towards the waterfront and turn left onto the Długi Pobrzeże (Long Embankment). Continue walking until you see the Main Town Hall on your right. The Old City Hall will be just a few steps further on your right at Ratusz Staromiejski, 33/35.

    If you are coming from the St. Mary's Church (Bazylika Mariacka), head west towards the Mariacka Street. Follow Mariacka Street until you reach the main square (Długi Targ). Once you reach the square, turn left and walk along Długi Targ until you see the Golden Gate ahead. After passing through the Golden Gate, continue straight on Długa Street, and you will find the Old City Hall on your left at Ratusz Staromiejski, 33/35.
