Getting There
Car
If you are traveling by car, you can start from the town of Zakopane, which is the main hub for accessing the Tatra Mountains. Drive towards the town of Vysoké Tatry (High Tatras) via Route 49. Follow the signs to Tatranská Lomnica, a popular resort area. From Tatranská Lomnica, take the road towards Hrebienok. You will find a parking area near the Hrebienok cable car station. Note that parking may have a fee, typically around 5-10 PLN per day. From Hrebienok, you can start your hike to Hincovo tarn.
Public Transportation
To reach Hincovo tarn using public transport, take a bus from Zakopane to Tatranská Lomnica. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Once in Tatranská Lomnica, you can catch a local bus or take a taxi to the Hrebienok cable car station. The cost of the bus ride is approximately 10-15 PLN. After reaching Hrebienok, you will need to hike to Hincovo tarn, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
