Walking
If you are starting from the Aveiro city center (Praça do Peixe), head southwest on Rua João Mendonça toward Rua 1º de Maio. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Doutor Lourenço Peixinho. Turn right onto Avenida Doutor Lourenço Peixinho and walk about 500 meters until you reach the next major intersection. You will see the beautiful canal on your left as you walk. Keep walking straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua da Liberdade, and continue for another 300 meters. The Estátua Maria da Fonte will be located at the small park on your right, near the waterfront. It is a prominent statue, making it easy to find.

Public Transport
From the Aveiro Bus Station, take the local bus line 1 or 2 heading towards the city center (Centro). Get off at the stop named 'Praça do Peixe'. From there, head southwest on Rua João Mendonça toward Rua 1º de Maio. Continue straight until you reach Avenida Doutor Lourenço Peixinho. Turn right and walk for about 500 meters. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua da Liberdade, and you will find Estátua Maria da Fonte within a few minutes on your right in the park area by the canal.

If you have access to a bike rental, start from the Aveiro city center and head southwest towards Rua João Mendonça. Follow the same path as walking by heading straight to Avenida Doutor Lourenço Peixinho. Once you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua da Liberdade. Bicycling should take approximately 10-15 minutes, and you can park your bike near the statue in the park area beside the canal.
