Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Beira Alta and head towards Tondela. Use the A25 motorway, which is well signposted. Upon reaching Tondela, take the exit towards N234 towards Pedronhe. Follow the N234 road until you reach Pedronhe. Once in Pedronhe, look for local signs pointing to 'Cascata Bica da Água d'Alta'. There is a small parking area near the waterfall where you can leave your car. Please note that parking may be limited during peak tourist seasons.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Beira Alta to Tondela. Check the local bus schedules for routes that go to Tondela, as there may be multiple providers. Once you arrive at the Tondela bus station, you can either take a local taxi or walk to Pedronhe. The walk from the bus station to Pedronhe is about 3 kilometers, so be prepared for a 30-40 minute walk, following signs towards 'Cascata Bica da Água d'Alta'. Alternatively, taxis can be hired from the station.

• Hiking

  For those who enjoy hiking, you can combine public transportation to Tondela with a scenic hike. After arriving in Tondela, head to Pedronhe on foot, which takes about 30-40 minutes. The route is uphill, so wear comfortable shoes. Once you reach Pedronhe, follow the signs to the waterfall, which is approximately a 15-minute hike from the village. The path is well-marked and suitable for most fitness levels.
