    From Cascais train station, board the train towards Sintra. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Sintra station, exit the train and head towards the main exit. From the station, follow the signs to the bus stop located just outside the station. Take bus 434, which is a circular route that will take you to the National Palace of Sintra.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to take a bus directly from Cascais to Sintra, head to the Cascais bus terminal located near the Cascais train station. Purchase a ticket for the Scotturb bus number 403 that goes directly to Sintra. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Sintra, you can walk to the National Palace, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

    If you are already in Sintra, from the Sintra train station, exit and turn right. Walk straight until you reach the main square, Praça da República. From there, continue straight on Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda until you reach the Largo Rainha Dona Amélia, where the National Palace of Sintra is located.
