Walking
From the Coimbra city center, head southeast along Avenida Sá da Bandeira towards Rua da Sofia. Continue straight onto Rua da Sofia for about 500 meters until you reach Largo da Portagem. From there, take the stairs leading up to Largo da Sé Velha. At the top of the stairs, turn left onto Rua da Alegria and continue for about 300 meters. You'll see a sign for Mosteiro de Santa Clara-a-Velha as you approach. The monastery will be on your right.

If you prefer to take a bus, you can catch the bus number 34 from the Coimbra City Center, specifically from the 'Praça da República' bus stop. Ride the bus for around 15 minutes and get off at the 'Santa Clara-a-Velha' stop. Once you exit the bus, the Mosteiro de Santa Clara-a-Velha will be a short walk away. Head downhill on Rua Parreiras, and you will see the monastery ahead.
