Getting There

• Walking

  From the city center of Coimbra (e.g., Praça 8 de Maio), head towards the Universidade de Coimbra. Walk along Rua da Sofia to reach the university's main entrance. Continue straight until you reach the riverbank of the Mondego River. At the river, follow the path along the river heading south. This will take you past beautiful views of the river and the surrounding area. Keep walking until you see signs for Praia Fluvial Torres Mondego, which is located at the coordinates 40.1935795 latitude and -8.3807318 longitude. The beach is about a 30-minute walk from the city center.

• Public Transport - Bus

  From Coimbra city center, make your way to the main bus station, Terminal Rodoviário de Coimbra, which is located at Av. Fernão de Magalhães. Look for the bus lines that go towards the 'Praia Fluvial' or 'Torres Mondego' area. You can take bus number 103 towards 'Praia Fluvial'. The journey should take about 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Praia Fluvial' stop, and you will be right at the entrance to Praia Fluvial Torres Mondego.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the bike rental spots in Coimbra. Start at the city center and head towards the Universidade de Coimbra. From there, follow the bike paths along the riverbank heading south. The route is approximately 3 km and should take you about 15-20 minutes.
