Breathtaking Views at Miradouro de Vale de Canas

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the city center, make your way to Praça da República. From the square, head east towards Rua da Sofia. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua Ferreira Borges. Turn left onto Rua Ferreira Borges and walk for about 300 meters until you reach the Botanical Garden. Cross through the garden towards the exit that leads to Rua do Brasil. Once you exit onto Rua do Brasil, turn right and follow the road until you reach a fork. Take the left path onto Rua Vale de Canas. Continue straight until you arrive at the viewpoint, which will be on your left.

• Public Transport

  From the city center, take the bus number 4 from the bus stop near Praça da República (look for 'Praça da República' stop). This bus will take you towards the Vale de Canas area. Get off at the stop 'Vale de Canas' which is closest to the viewpoint. Once you disembark, walk a short distance down Rua Vale de Canas, and you'll find the Miradouro de Vale de Canas on your left.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops near the city center. Head towards Avenida da Liberdade and follow it until you reach Rua do Brasil. Take a left onto Rua do Brasil and continue until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left path to Rua Vale de Canas and bike along it until you reach the viewpoint. The ride is approximately 2.5 kilometers and offers a scenic route.
