From Faro city center, head to the main bus station located at Avenida da República. Look for the bus lines heading to Albufeira. You can take the bus number 1 or any Albufeira-bound bus. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Paderne, as it is a small village and may not be announced.

Once you get off at the Paderne stop, head towards the village center. Follow the signs directing you to 'Castelo de Paderne.' The castle is located about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop. You will walk along the main road (Rua da Liberdade) and then turn left onto the path leading up to the castle. The path is marked and will guide you directly to the castle.
