Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from central Lisbon, take the A5 motorway towards Cascais. The drive will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once on the A5, follow the signs for Carcavelos and exit at Carcavelos. Continue straight on the N6 (Avenida Marginal), and you will find PRAIA DE CARCAVELOS on your left. There is parking available along the beach, but it may incur a fee during peak hours.

  • Train

    For those using public transportation, head to the Cais do Sodré train station in Lisbon. Take the train towards Cascais (the trains run frequently, approximately every 20 minutes). Get off at the Carcavelos station. From the station, it's a 15-minute walk to PRAIA DE CARCAVELOS. Exit the station and head towards Av. Marginal. Turn right and follow the road until you reach the beach. The train fare is around €2.00.
