From the heart of Alfama, head towards the Miradouro de Santa Luzia (Santa Luzia viewpoint). This is a well-known landmark and offers stunning views of the river and the city. Once at the viewpoint, continue following the signs that lead you toward the castle. You'll find yourself on a narrow cobblestone street, R. da Regueira, which will lead you directly to the castle's entrance.

If you are near the Lisbon Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa), simply exit the cathedral and walk uphill on R. da Oliveira. This road will take you directly to the main entrance of Castelo de S. Jorge. The castle is located at R. de Santa Cruz do Castelo, 1100-129 Lisboa. Be prepared for some steep inclines as you make your way.

Public Transport
Alternatively, from any point in Alfama, you can take the famous Tram 28, which stops at various locations in the neighborhood. Get off at the stop called 'Miradouro de Santa Luzia'. From there, follow the signs to Castelo de S. Jorge, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill.

Walking
If you are near Praça do Comércio, you can walk towards Alfama. Head up R. da Prata and then take a right onto R. do Comércio until you reach the beginning of Alfama. From there, navigate through the winding streets, keeping an eye out for signs pointing to the castle. You will eventually reach R. de Santa Cruz do Castelo.
