If you are traveling by car, start from Funchal and head north on the VR1 highway. Follow the signs for Machico and continue until you reach the junction for ER101. Take the exit onto ER101 towards Boaventura. Stay on ER101 for approximately 20 km. You will see signs for Miradouro da Beira da Achada along the way. Once you arrive at the viewpoint, there is parking available nearby.

For public transportation, take the bus from Funchal to Santana. You can catch the bus at the main bus station in Funchal. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you reach Santana, you will need to switch to a local taxi or rideshare service, as public buses do not directly reach Miradouro da Beira da Achada. The taxi ride from Santana to the viewpoint is approximately 15 minutes and may cost around €15-€20.
