Walking
If you are in the Ribeira district, head towards the Douro River. Walk along the riverfront until you reach the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge. Cross the bridge on the lower deck heading towards Vila Nova de Gaia. Once across, continue straight until you reach the roundabout. From there, take the first exit onto Rua de Cima do Muro. Continue walking until you reach Escadas do Caminho Novo, located on your left.

Take the Metro from any station in Porto, and head towards the Trindade station. From Trindade, transfer to the D Line (Yellow Line) towards Santo Ovídio. Get off at the Jardim do Morro station. Exit the station and head downhill towards the river. Follow the path along the river and take a left onto Rua de Cima do Muro. Continue walking straight until you reach Escadas do Caminho Novo.

Catch bus number 500 from the city center (Cordoaria, for example) towards the Jardim do Morro. Ride the bus until you reach the stop named 'Jardim do Morro'. Once you get off, walk down the stairs towards the Douro River. After reaching the riverfront, turn left and walk along the path until you reach Escadas do Caminho Novo.

Take the historic Tram 1 from Infante to the end of the line at Passeio Alegre. Enjoy the scenic route along the river. Once you arrive, walk back towards the riverfront and then turn left. Head straight along the river until you reach Escadas do Caminho Novo.
