Walking
If you are starting from the São Bento Train Station, exit the station and head towards the main square, Praça da Liberdade. From there, walk down Avenida dos Aliados, which will lead you towards the Ribeira district. Continue straight until you reach the riverfront, and then take a left along the Douro River. Walk along the riverside promenade until you reach Praça do Infante D. Henrique. This should take approximately 20-25 minutes.

If you are near the Trindade Metro Station, take the Metro Line D (Yellow Line) towards Santo Ovidio. Get off at the next stop, which is Aliados. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to Avenida dos Aliados. From there, walk down Avenida dos Aliados towards the riverfront and turn left to reach Praça do Infante D. Henrique. The entire trip should take around 15 minutes, including walking.

From the Mercado do Bolhão, walk to the nearby bus stop and take the bus number 500, which heads towards Ribeira. Get off at the 'Ribeira' stop. Once you disembark, walk along the riverbank to your right until you reach Praça do Infante D. Henrique. This journey will take approximately 30 minutes, including waiting times.

If you are near the Praça da Ribeira, you can hop on the historic Tram line 1. Ride the tram towards the Jardim do Passeio Alegre. Get off at the stop 'Infante' which is very close to Praça do Infante D. Henrique. This is a scenic ride along the river that takes about 15 minutes.
