If you are starting from the center of Porto, head to the nearest metro station, São Bento. Take the Metro Line D (Yellow Line) towards Santo Ovídio. After three stops, get off at the stop called Campo 24 de Agosto. Once you exit the station, head east on Rua de Fernandes Tomás until you reach Rua de São Lázaro. Turn left onto Rua de São Lázaro and continue straight until you reach Praça de São Lázaro. From there, take the first right onto Rua da Alegria, which will lead you directly towards Praça San Bonfim.

From the main bus terminal, take bus number 602 towards 'Hospital de São João'. After a 15-minute ride, get off at the stop named 'Praça de São Lázaro'. From there, walk straight on Rua de São Lázaro until you reach Rua da Alegria. Turn right onto Rua da Alegria, follow it straight, and you will arrive at Praça San Bonfim in a few minutes.

If you are near the historic area of Ribeira, you can walk to Praça San Bonfim. Start at the Ribeira waterfront and head towards the Dom Luís I Bridge. Cross the bridge on the upper deck, and once you are across, take a left onto Rua de 31 de Janeiro. Continue walking straight until you reach Campo 24 de Agosto. From there, head southeast on Rua de Fernandes Tomás, turn left onto Rua de São Lázaro, and then take a right onto Rua da Alegria, which will take you to Praça San Bonfim.
