Walking
From the Guimarães train station, head southwest on Av. de Gualtar towards R. do Cais. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the Praça da República. From there, turn left onto R. de Santo António and walk for about 300 meters. At the end of R. de Santo António, take a right onto R. de João de Deus. Continue along this road for approximately 600 meters until you reach the Largo do Toural. Continue straight into the historic center, and then follow R. de São Francisco. You will eventually reach the Praça de Mouzinho de Albuquerque in Porto, where the Monumento aos Heróis da Guerra Peninsular is located.

From the Guimarães train station, take bus line 1 (or 2 depending on the schedule) towards Porto. The bus will take you directly to Porto. Make sure to get off at the stop 'Praça de Mouzinho de Albuquerque'. After you get off, the monument will be just a short walk away.
