Walking
If you are already in the Ribeira area, you can easily walk to Praça da Ribeira. Head toward the Douro River, and walk along the waterfront promenade. As you stroll, enjoy the colorful buildings and lively atmosphere. After about 5-10 minutes, you will reach Praça da Ribeira, which is a bustling square right by the river, known for its stunning views and numerous cafes.
Public Transport (Metro)
If you are coming from a bit further away in Porto, you can take the metro to the São Bento station. From there, exit the station and walk towards the river. It’s about a 15-minute walk from São Bento. Just follow the signs pointing towards the Ribeira and the Douro River. Once you reach the riverbank, you will see Praça da Ribeira directly ahead.
Taxi/ride-sharing
If you prefer not to walk, you can use a taxi or a ride-sharing service like Uber. Simply request a ride to 'Praça da Ribeira'. The drivers are familiar with the area, and it is a short trip from most locations in the city center. The fare will vary depending on your starting point, but expect to pay around €5-€10.
