If you are starting your journey in the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, head towards the town of Portalegre. From Portalegre, take the N245 road heading towards the Alto da Serra de São Mamede. Continue on N245 for about 12 km, then follow the signs for 'Alto da Serra de São Mamede'. There is a parking area at the top where you can leave your car.
