If you are driving, head towards the town of São Julião. From the center, take the road towards the N246-1 and follow signs for the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park. Continue on the N246-1 for approximately 5 km until you reach a small sign indicating 'Cascata da Cabroeira'. Turn onto the gravel road that leads to the waterfall. Please note, this road can be narrow and winding, so drive cautiously. There is limited parking available near the waterfall.
Public Transportation
To reach Cascata da Cabroeira using public transport, take a bus from Portalegre to São Julião. Once you arrive at the São Julião bus station, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km towards the direction of the waterfall. Look for the signs indicating the way to the waterfall or use a navigation app to guide you. Be prepared for a short hike along a dirt path leading to the waterfall. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited.
Walking
If you're already within the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park and prefer to walk, locate the nearest hiking trail that leads towards São Julião.
