Getting There

  • Bus

    From Setúbal city center, walk to the main bus station, Terminal Rodoviário de Setúbal. Take the bus number 553 towards Lisbon. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Get off at the 'Campo de Ourique' bus stop. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes towards Rua de Xabregas, following the signs towards the center of Lisbon. The Palácio de Xabregas will be at number 40 on your left.

  • Train

    Head to the Setúbal train station, Estação Ferroviária de Setúbal, located in the city center. Take the Regional train heading to Lisbon (Lisboa). The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Lisboa (Entrecampos) station, transfer to the metro. Take the yellow line (Linha Amarela) towards Rato and get off at the 'Marquês de Pombal' station. Transfer to the blue line (Linha Azul) towards Santa Apolónia and get off at 'Alameda' station. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to Rua de Xabregas 40.

  • Metro

    From the Setúbal city center, walk to the nearest train station and take a train to Lisbon (as described above). Once in Lisbon, head to the 'Alameda' metro station on the green line (Linha Verde). From Alameda, transfer to the red line (Linha Vermelha) towards São Sebastião. Get off at 'São Sebastião' and switch to the blue line (Linha Azul) towards Santa Apolónia. Get off at 'Alameda' station and walk for about 15 minutes to Rua de Xabregas 40.

  • Walking

    If you're already in Lisbon and near the historic area, start at Praça do Comércio. From there, head east towards Rua da Prata, and then continue to the Rua do Comércio. Follow the signs to the metro station 'Baixa-Chiado' and take the metro towards 'Alameda.' Once you arrive at 'Alameda', exit and walk approximately 15 minutes to Rua de Xabregas 40, following local directions.
