From Sintra train station, take the train heading towards Cascais. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. You will need to get off at the Oeiras station. Once you arrive at Oeiras station, exit the station and turn left onto Avenida da República. Walk straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the beach area. Praia de Santo Amaro will be on your right.

From Sintra, head to the bus station located near the Sintra train station. Take the bus line 403 or 417 towards Oeiras. The bus ride will take around 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Praia de Santo Amaro.' From the bus stop, walk towards the beach area, which will be directly in front of you.

If you prefer to walk, you can start from the center of Sintra. Head towards Rua das Padarias and follow it straight until you reach the main road. Turn right onto Avenida de Portugal and continue until you reach the train station. From there, you can either take a train or bus to Oeiras as outlined above. Alternatively, if you want a longer walk, you can follow the coastline from the nearest beach in Cascais, which is about 8 km away, but this may take a few hours.
