Ferry
From Culebra, head to the ferry terminal located in Dewey, the main town of Culebra. The terminal is situated near the center of town and is easily accessible on foot. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to St. Thomas. The ferry ride takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Upon arrival at the St. Thomas ferry terminal, you will be in Charlotte Amalie, the capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Taxi
Once you arrive at the Charlotte Amalie ferry terminal, you can take a taxi to Magens Bay Beach. Taxis are readily available at the terminal. Inform the driver that you want to go to Magens Bay Beach, which is about a 20-minute drive from the terminal. The beach is well-signposted, and the driver should easily know the route.
Public Bus
If you prefer a more economical option, you can take a public bus from the Charlotte Amalie ferry terminal. Look for the bus stop nearby and catch the bus heading towards Magens Bay. The bus ride will take roughly 30-40 minutes, and you may need to ask the driver to let you know when to get off for Magens Bay Beach. Make sure to have some local currency for the fare.
Walking
For adventurous travelers, an option is to walk from the ferry terminal to Magens Bay Beach. However, this is not recommended as it is quite a distance (over 3 miles) and involves navigating hilly terrain. If you choose to walk, make sure to have plenty of water and wear comfortable shoes, and you may want to ask locals for the best route to take.
