Getting There

    From the center of Sierra de Luquillo, head east on PR-3. After approximately 5 miles, turn right onto PR-191. Continue on PR-191 until you reach the entrance of El Yunque National Forest. Follow the signs for the forest, and keep driving until you reach a point where you can park. From there, you may need to take a short hike or walk to reach Playa El Tamarindo, as it is located on the Culebra Island. Note that you’ll need to take a ferry from Fajardo to Culebra to access the beach. The ferry costs around $2.50 per person one way and takes about 45 minutes. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance.
