If you are in the center of Block Island, start by heading towards the Old Harbor area. From the ferry terminal, walk east on Water Street until you reach the intersection with Chapel Street. Turn left onto Chapel Street and continue until you reach the junction with Spring Street. Follow Spring Street until it becomes a dirt path leading you to the shore. Once you reach the beach, turn left and walk along the shoreline until you reach the Block Island Boat Basin. Look for signs pointing towards the ferry terminal. The ferry will take you to New London, Connecticut. From New London, you will need to take a bus or taxi to Mystic, Connecticut.

Upon arrival at New London, you can find local taxis or ride-sharing services that can take you to Mystic, which is approximately 10 miles away.

If you’d like to explore Block Island by bike, rent a bike from one of the rental shops near Old Harbor. Once you have your bike, ride along Corn Neck Road until you reach the northern tip of the island. From there, you can take the ferry from the Block Island ferry terminal to the mainland. After arriving in New London, use a taxi or public transportation to get to Mystic.
