Take the first exit onto Ocean Ave and follow it along the coastline, enjoying the scenic views. After about 3 miles, turn right onto Fort Adams Drive. You will see signs for Fort Adams State Park. Continue straight for about half a mile, and you will arrive at the park entrance at 80 Fort Adams Dr, Newport, RI 02840. There is a parking fee of $10 for non-residents, so be sure to have cash or a credit card ready.

    To reach Fort Adams State Park using public transportation, take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus number 67 from downtown Newport. The bus runs regularly; check the latest schedule on the RIPTA website. You will want to get off at the Fort Adams stop. From there, it's a short walk along Fort Adams Drive to the park entrance. Note that you will need to pay the bus fare, which is typically around $2.00 per ride.
