    From downtown Providence, head to the nearest bus stop on Dorrance Street. Take the RIPTA bus #1 (Broad Street) towards the Cranston Bus Terminal. Stay on the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop at Elmwood Avenue and Oakhill Avenue. From the bus stop, walk south along Elmwood Avenue for about 5 minutes. The Betsey Williams Cottage will be on your right at 1000 Elmwood Ave.

    If you are near the Rhode Island State House, you can walk to Betsey Williams Cottage. Start by walking west on Smith Street toward State Street. Turn left onto State Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Elmwood Avenue. Turn right onto Elmwood Avenue and walk approximately 1.5 miles. The cottage will be on your right at 1000 Elmwood Ave. This walk will take about 30 minutes.

    If you have access to a bike, start from WaterFire in downtown Providence. Head south on Memorial Blvd, then continue onto South Main Street. Merge onto Point Street Bridge and follow it to the end. Keep straight to stay on Elmwood Avenue. After about 2 miles, you will see Betsey Williams Cottage on your left at 1000 Elmwood Ave. The bike ride should take around 15-20 minutes.
