Car
From Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, exit the refuge and turn left onto Sachuest Point Road. Continue straight for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with East Main Road (Route 138). Turn right onto East Main Road and drive for about 0.5 miles. Then turn left onto Second Beach Road. Follow this road directly to Second Beach, which is located at 315 Sachuest Point Rd, Middletown, RI 02842. There's a parking lot available at the beach; however, parking fees may apply, so be sure to check the parking signs.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take the RIPTA bus #60 from Newport to Middletown. Get off at the stop nearest to Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 mile to reach East Main Road. After reaching East Main Road, you can either continue walking along it to Second Beach or call for a local taxi or rideshare service to cover the remaining distance, as public transportation won't take you directly to the beach.
