Car
From Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, head northwest on Sachuest Point Road toward RI-138. Follow RI-138 for approximately 3 miles. Take the exit toward Newport and merge onto America’s Cup Ave. Continue straight onto Newport Bridge which takes you into Newport. Once in Newport, turn right onto Thames St and then a left onto Jackson Rd. Follow Jackson Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach Fort Adams Bay Walk, located at 48 Jackson Rd, Newport, RI 02840. There is no cost for parking near the Bay Walk.

Public Transportation
From Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, walk to the nearest bus stop on Sachuest Point Road and take RIPTA Bus #60 towards Newport. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Newport Visitor Center stop. From there, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a local taxi to Fort Adams Bay Walk. If walking, head west on America’s Cup Ave, then turn right onto Thames St, and finally make a left onto Jackson Rd. The total cost for the bus is approximately $2.00.
