    Public Bus

    From your location in New Bedford, head to the nearest bus stop for the Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority (GATRA) buses. Take the bus towards Fall River. When you reach the Fall River Terminal, transfer to the RIPTA bus #60 towards Newport. Stay on this bus until you reach the Jamestown ferry terminal. From there, take the ferry to Jamestown. Once you arrive in Jamestown, walk approximately 1 mile along Beavertail Road to reach the Beavertail Lighthouse Museum, which will be on your right.

    Bicycle

    If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in New Bedford. Start by heading toward the South Coast Bikeway. Follow the bike path north until you reach the intersection with Route 195. Carefully cross the highway and continue on the bike path until you connect with Route 138. Follow Route 138 north, then take a left onto Beavertail Road. Continue straight for about 3 miles until you reach the Beavertail Lighthouse Museum.
