Getting There

  • Car

    Start from Yawgoo Valley Ski Area and head southwest on Yawgoo Valley Rd towards RI-102 S. Turn left onto RI-102 S and continue for about 5 miles. Merge onto RI-1 S toward Narragansett. After approximately 18 miles, take the exit toward Newport. Continue on the road until you reach the intersection with RI-138 E. Take the exit toward Newport and follow signs for RI-238 S. After about 5 miles, follow the road signs to Fort Adams State Park, which will be on your right at 80 Fort Adams Dr, Newport, RI 02840. Parking is available on-site, and there may be a small parking fee depending on the time of year.

    From Yawgoo Valley Ski Area, you can take a local bus (check the schedule for the nearest stop) to the nearest transit hub. Once there, transfer to a bus heading towards Newport.
