Getting There

Car
If you are driving, start from the town of Râușor. From Râușor, head southwest on DN66A. After approximately 5 kilometers, look for the sign indicating the entrance to Retezat National Park. You will need to pay a small entrance fee of around 10 RON per person. Once inside the park, continue on the paved road until you reach the Râușor ski area. Park your car in the designated parking area near the ski lift.

Hiking
From the Râușor ski area, the hike to Şaua de iarnă begins. Follow the marked trail that leads northwest into the mountains.
