Boat
To reach Kimira Imuhira Islet from Karongi, head to the main dock located near the Karongi town center. You can find local boat operators offering services to the islet. Look for signs indicating boat rides to Kimira Imuhira Islet or ask locals for directions to 'Ruhango' boats, which frequently travel to the islet. The boat ride usually takes about 30 minutes, and prices are negotiable. Once you arrive at Kimira Imuhira Islet, enjoy the scenic views and natural beauty of the area.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Karongi and head towards the lakeshore. Follow the lakeside road south towards Rwesero, where Kimira Imuhira Islet is located. The ride is approximately 10 km and should take about an hour. Be sure to stop and ask locals for directions to the best boat landing point for Kimira Imuhira Islet once you reach Rwesero. Walking
