Walking
From the center of Muhanga, head towards the main road (RN1) that runs through the town. Walk north on this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the road towards Byimana. Continue straight on this road for approximately 6 kilometers. You will pass through a few small villages along the way. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Kabgayi Genocide Memorial Site. As you approach Byimana, look for a sign on your left directing you to the memorial. Turn left and follow the path until you reach the site.

Public Transport (Moto-taxi)
While in Muhanga, find a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) stand. Tell the driver you want to go to Kabgayi Genocide Memorial Site in Byimana. The driver will take you directly there, which is about a 15-20 minute ride depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey. The moto-taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the memorial.

Public Transport (Bus)
Go to the bus station in Muhanga and look for a bus heading to Byimana. Buses leave frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at the Kabgayi Genocide Memorial Site. Once you arrive in Byimana, walk back a short distance from the bus stop towards the main road, and follow the signs to the memorial, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
