If you are traveling by car, start from the capital of Southern Province, Bo. Head northwest on the A11 highway towards Kenema. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit toward Leicester, following the signs for Leicester Peak. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the village of Leicester. From there, follow the dirt road leading towards the peak. Be cautious as the road can be rough and may require a 4x4 vehicle. There may not be clear signage, so it’s advisable to ask locals for directions if needed.

Public Transportation
To reach Leicester Peak via public transportation, take a shared taxi or bus from Bo to Kenema. The fare is typically around 10,000 to 15,000 Leones. Once you arrive in Kenema, you will need to find a taxi (often referred to as a 'poda poda') heading towards Leicester. The fare for this segment may range from 5,000 to 10,000 Leones. Inform the driver you want to go to Leicester Peak. Upon reaching the village of Leicester, you may need to hire a local guide or a motorcycle taxi to take you up the dirt road to the peak. This last stretch may cost around 10,000 Leones.

Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Leicester and prefer to walk, head towards the main road leading out of the village. Follow the dirt path that veers off from the main road towards the mountain. It is roughly a 5-kilometer trek to the peak. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear as the terrain can be steep and rocky. Also, bring plenty of water and a map, or consider hiring a local guide for assistance.
