From Changi, take the East Coast Parkway (ECP) towards the city. Follow signs for the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) and continue on it. Merge onto the North-South Expressway (NSE) towards Johor Bahru. After reaching Johor, take the exit towards Kota Tinggi/Desaru. Follow the signs for Desaru, and then take the exit onto Jalan Desaru. Continue straight until you reach Desaru Public Beach at 90, Desaru, 82200 Bandar Penawar, Johor, Malaysia. The total driving time is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Note that you will need to pay a toll fee for the expressways.

From Changi, take MRT to Tanah Merah Station. Transfer to bus service 35 to get to the Changi Village Bus Terminal. From there, take a bus to Johor Bahru (JB).
