Public Bus
If you are in Tampines, head to the nearest bus stop. You can take Bus 29 from Tampines Interchange. Stay on the bus for about 20-25 minutes, and get off at the Batam Ferry Terminal bus stop. From there, walk towards the ferry terminal, buy your ferry ticket to Batam, and board the ferry. After arriving at Batam, exit the terminal and take a taxi or a local ride-sharing service to Alun Alun Batam Centre, which is approximately a 15-minute drive away.

Train and Ferry
From Tampines, make your way to the nearest MRT station, which is Tampines MRT Station. Take the East West Line towards Pasir Ris and transfer at Tanah Merah MRT Station. Here, you will need to take Bus 35 to the Changi Ferry Terminal. Once at Changi, purchase your ferry ticket to Batam. After the ferry ride, exit at Batam and take a taxi to Alun Alun Batam Centre, which is about a 15-minute drive from the ferry terminal.

If you prefer more direct transportation, you can use a taxi or a ride-sharing app like Grab. Simply input Alun Alun Batam Centre as your destination. However, keep in mind that you will first need to get to a ferry terminal like the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, as taxis are not allowed to drive directly to Batam without using the ferry service. From Tampines, take a taxi to the ferry terminal, and from there, follow the ferry route to Batam.
