Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards the town of Vysoké Tatry. From Poprad, take Route 537 to Vysoké Tatry, which takes about 20 minutes. Once in Vysoké Tatry, park your car at the main parking area near the Tatranská Lomnica cable car station (GPS coordinates: 49.1986, 20.2065). The parking fee is approximately €5 per day. After parking, follow the signs to the Tatranská Lomnica cable car that will take you to the start of the hiking trails.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train or bus to Poprad. From Poprad, catch a train to Tatranská Lomnica. The train runs frequently and takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Tatranská Lomnica, walk to the cable car station (approximately 10 minutes). After reaching the top of the cable car, follow the marked hiking trails towards Priečne sedlo. Make sure to check the train and cable car schedules in advance to avoid long waiting times.
Hiking
After reaching the top of the cable car from Tatranská Lomnica, you will need to hike towards Priečne sedlo. The trail is well-marked and takes approximately 3-4 hours to reach the saddle. Ensure you have proper hiking gear and enough water. The hike involves some steep sections, so it is advisable to be in good physical condition. Keep an eye on the weather, as conditions can change rapidly in the mountains.
