Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from a major city in Bushveld, such as Pretoria or Johannesburg, take the N4 highway towards Rustenburg. After approximately 90 km, take the exit towards the R49 toward Swartruggens. Continue on the R49 for about 50 km until you reach the town of Swartruggens. From Swartruggens, take the R49 towards Madikwe Game Reserve. The reserve entrance is well-marked. Once inside the reserve, follow the signs to Mosetlha Bush Camp & Eco Lodge, which is located in the northeastern part of the reserve. Note that you will need to pay an entrance fee to the Madikwe Game Reserve, which is approximately R180 per person (subject to change).

• Public Transport

  To reach Mosetlha Bush Camp & Eco Lodge via public transport, first take a bus or shuttle service from Johannesburg to the town of Zeerust or Swartruggens. From either location, you can arrange for a private transfer (taxi or shuttle) to Madikwe Game Reserve. It's advisable to book this transfer in advance, as options may be limited. Expect to pay around R400 to R600 for the transfer depending on the distance and service provider. Once you arrive at the Madikwe Game Reserve entrance, you will still need to pay the entrance fee, which is approximately R180 per person (subject to change).

• Taxi

  For a more direct option, you can hire a taxi service from major cities like Johannesburg or Pretoria. This is a more expensive option, costing approximately R1,500 to R2,500 depending on the distance and taxi service. Ensure that the taxi driver is familiar with the route to Madikwe Game Reserve. Upon arrival at the reserve entrance, you will need to pay an entrance fee of approximately R180 per person (subject to change).
