Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of Cape Town, take the M3 highway towards Muizenberg. Follow the M3 until it turns into the M42 and continue to the intersection with the M65. Turn right onto M65 and follow signs for the Cape Peninsula. After passing through Simon’s Town, continue on the M65 until you reach the Cape Point National Park entrance. The toll gate is located on Cape of Good Hope Drive. Be prepared to pay a toll fee, which is approximately R 80 for adults and R 40 for children.

• Public Transportation (Train and Bus)

  Start your journey at the Cape Town Railway Station and take the train on the Southern Line towards Simon’s Town. This scenic train ride will take around 1 hour. Once you arrive at Simon's Town station, exit the train and head to the local bus stop outside the station. Catch the 'Cape Point' bus (check for the current service as schedules may vary) which will take you directly to the Cape Point National Park entrance. Make sure to have cash for the bus fare, which is approximately R 30. Note that you will need to pay the entrance fee at the toll gate upon arrival.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  For a more direct route, consider using a taxi or rideshare service like Uber. Simply input 'Cape Point National Park Toll Gate' as your destination. Depending on your starting location in Cape Peninsula, this option may be more expensive (prices can vary but expect around R 300 to R 500 one way). Ensure you confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. The taxi will take you directly to the toll gate, where you'll need to pay the entrance fee.
