Getting There

• Train

  From Cape Town Station, take the Southern Line train towards Simon's Town. Ensure to check the train schedule as the frequency may vary. Disembark at Fish Hoek Station. Upon exiting the station, head east on Fish Hoek Main Road (also known as Kommetjie Road) for approximately 1.2 kilometers until you reach Central Circle. Turn right onto Central Circle, and after about 200 meters, you will find the Fish Hoek Valley Museum at 59 Central Cir.

  Starting at the Cape Town Civic Centre Bus Station, take the MyCiTi bus route that goes to Fish Hoek. Look for bus number 108 which travels directly to Fish Hoek. After about 45-60 minutes, you will arrive at the Fish Hoek bus stop. From the bus stop, head east on Fish Hoek Main Road for approximately 800 meters. Turn right onto Central Circle, and you will see the Fish Hoek Valley Museum located at 59 Central Cir within a short walk.

  If you are in the Fish Hoek area, you can walk to the Fish Hoek Valley Museum easily. Aim for Fish Hoek Main Road, and navigate towards Central Circle. The museum is located at 59 Central Cir. It's a short and pleasant walk through this coastal suburb.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Cape Town and ride to Fish Hoek. Follow the scenic coastal route along the M5 and then onto the Kommetjie Road. Upon reaching Fish Hoek, navigate towards Central Circle where the museum is located at 59 Central Cir. This route offers beautiful views of the coastline.
