Getting There

    If you are starting from Cape Town's city center, head to the Cape Town Train Station. Board the MetroRail train towards Simon's Town. The journey takes about 1 hour. Get off at the Simon's Town station. From there, you can either take a taxi or a local bus to Cape Point. The distance is approximately 20 km, and taxis can be found outside the train station.

    From the city center, take the MyCiTi bus from the Civic Centre station. Board the bus that goes towards Hout Bay and get off at the Cape Point route bus stop. The bus ride will take around 1.5 hours. Once you get off, follow the signs to the entrance of Cape Point within the Table Mountain National Park.

  • Walking/Local Transport

    If you are in Simon's Town after arriving by train, you can walk to the Cape Point entrance. It is a scenic route, taking you along the coast. Alternatively, you can hire a local bicycle or take a taxi for a quicker journey. The distance from Simon's Town to Cape Point is about 20 km, which is better suited for a short taxi ride.
